Our Annual Recital Showcase is usually held at the end of the second week in June. This production is a very exciting and important part of each student’s dance education, whether they are four years old, or 18 years old! Students have worked hard throughout the year to achieve a new level of strength, control, technique, etc. and this is a wonderful opportunity to show what they have learned. In the past, we have held our Recital Showcase at the University of North Texas Main Auditorium, Sanger High School, Denton High School, Ryan High School, and many other venues. Rest assured your dancer will experience a truly professional, yet nurturing atmosphere to make memories that will last a lifetime!!!

2014 ANNUAL HOLIDAY PRODUCTION, “A Gift for Emma” December 5th & 6th @ 7:30pm and December 7th @ 2pm Krum High School Performance Centre, 811 East McCart, Krum, TX 76249
Denton Dance Conservatory (DDC) has been participating in our resident non-profit dance company’s production of “A Gift for Emma” for over 10 years. The Denton City Contemporary Ballet, along with its junior company, the Denton Youth City Ballet, provides the lead and soloist roles, while DDC students make up the rest of the cast. Auditions for the youngest roles (ages 4-7) are held at the studio in September. Our students that take ballet from ages 8+ learn choreography in class in order to perform onstage alongside professional dancers. The story, written and directed by Owner/Director, Lisa Racina, illustrates the challenges and triumphs of a young orphan girl, Emma, who’s only wish is to dance. Roles range from “Collector’s Dolls” to “Arabians” and from “Flowers” to “Butterflies.” With a cast of nearly 200 dancers, “A Gift for Emma” has become a holiday tradition for many families in the Denton area and surrounding communities. The performance is held at Krum High School Performance Centre, four miles west of Denton in Krum, TX.
